Memorials of Shanklin

 

On the 11th of November 2020, the Shanklin memorial became 100 years old. we take a look at the history of this memorial as well as the six churches in Shanklin and the memorials and plaques in and around the town. Please Note: Since completing this film we discovered that Stephen Hawtry also fought for his country in World War Two and received the service medal.
